Employee roster - accepting and declining of available roster shifts

What is an available shift

Available shifts will appear on the To Do List if you are able to fulfil a role and you are available on the roster for that day.

How to accept or refuse available shifts through the to do list

1. A notification will be displayed in to do list

2. Click on the downward arrow key to see information about the shift

3. Click on the action button select your availability

5.  Depending on your organisations rules, you will either be given the shift automatically or this will need to be approved by your manager.  Please contact your manager to determine your organisations work flow regarding accepting and declining of shifts

  • If you click I am available and you require manager approval, you will receive a notification if your request has been accepted or declined
  • If you click I am available and you do not require manager approval, you will automatically receive the shift
  • If you click I am not available the shift will be marked as unavailable and the shift will disappear from your screen. 

 

How to accept available shifts through the roster

1. Click the Roster tab at the top of the screen

2. Click My Roster

3. The current roster will be displayed under 'Current Roster' 

4. All future and past rosters will be displayed under 'Other Rosters'

5. By default the system will show you all future rosters

6. By selecting past rosters all past rosters will be displayed

7. To search a custom date range:

8. Click on Custom date

9. Enter the start date (end date will automatically choose 1 month from start date)

10. Enter the end date

11. All rosters in that period will be displayed

12. The rosters displayed will show how many shifts you have, and how many shifts are available

13. Click the roster period to open that roster

14. Available shifts will be displayed in pink in the Available shifts section

15. Click the available shift

16. Click Accept or decline this shift

17. Click I am available or I am not available

  • If you click I am available and you require manager approval, you will receive a notification if your request has been accepted or declined
  • If you click I am available and you do not require manager approval, you will automatically receive the shift
  • If you click I am not available the shift will be marked as unavailable and the shift will disappear from your screen.
