1) Overview
The availability system allows you to select times that you are unable to work informing your immediate leader/employer of times you cannot work. The availability period always matches the roster period.
Once the roster has been published, or the deadline has passed, you won’t be able to submit availability for that week. Contact your immediate leader or employer to check your deadline for submitting a request.
2) Availability function
i) Determining if you can submit an availability request
- Select Availability under My Easy Employer on the navigation bar.
- Use the Previous week / Next week buttons to select the week(s) in which you'd like to update your availability.
- If the Submit for approval button is coloured, it means that you can submit an availability request for that week.
- If the Submit for approval button is greyed out, it means that you cannot submit an availability request for that week. Hovering your mouse cursor over the button gives you the reason why the submission button is unavailable.
NOTE: Your organisation/employer configures the policies which cause periods to be locked/unlocked. The Easy Employer Support Team cannot assist with locked availability queries, these need to be raised with your immediate leader/employer.
ii) Submit your availability request (ongoing)
Use recurring availability if your availability doesn't change very often or will be the same for a long period of time. Recurring availability occurs every week.
- Select Availability under My Easy Employer on the navigation bar.
- Highlight the time(s) of the week you are regularly unavailable to work in the availability calendar.
In the example below, the availability is:- Monday: unavailable from 3 pm
- Tuesday: available all-day
- Wednesday: available after 12 pm
- Thursday: not available
- Friday: available
- Saturday: available
- Sunday: not available
- If required, enter a message (optional), and click Submit for approval.
- Select Every week from here onwards, and press Submit.
- If your request requires approval by your immediate leader/employer, they will receive a notification of your request.
NOTE:
There is a key that assists in understanding the different colours/shades on the availability calendar:
iii) Submit an availability request (once-off)
Use once-off availability to inform your organisation of times where your availability will need to change for a short period of time. An example of this is you a casual employee who is going on holiday for one week.
- Select Availability under My Easy Employer on the navigation bar.
- Find the correct week.
- Modify your availability by clicking (or clicking and dragging) in the availability calendar.
In the example below, the availability is:- Unavailable all week
- If required, enter a message (optional), and click Submit for approval.
- Click To this week only, and press Submit.
- If your request requires approval by your organisation, they will receive a notification of your request.
iv) Determine the availability request approval status
- You can refer to the availability calendar and review the dates for your application, to see if the date(s) have an updated 'availability state'.

Availability Approved
NOTE: Your organisation/employer configures who is able to approve your availability request. The Easy Employer Support Team cannot assist with availability application approval queries, these need to be raised with your immediate leader/employer.
