What is a file export
File exports are used to take information that exist in a program and make the information available on different platforms such as PDF or .csv.
Why is this important
This could be used to view the roster in a different format or used to send the roster to employees that do not have access to a computer.
How to export a roster to CSV
The roster can be exported two ways:
Exporting the CSV through Import / export
1. Click on Organisation
2. Click on Import / Export
3. Click on Export Roster
4. Choose a Roster Period
5. Click on Choose Groups
6. Select Groups to Export
7. Select whether to Export Unassigned Shifts and/or Apply Hide End Time Rule by ticking/unticking the checkboxes
8. Click on Export
9. The file will be exported or shown directly in the browser.
Exporting the CSV through the roster
1. Click Rosters
2. Click Open a Roster
3. Click on the Roster name
4. Choose sites for rosters if there are more than one site
5. Click on the cog at the top left corner of the screen and select the Export option
6. Select CSV export
7. Check or uncheck the options you want or do not want on the exported roster and click Export
8. The file will be exported or shown directly in the browser.
Exporting a roster to PDF
1. Click Rosters
2. Click Open a Roster
3. Click on the Roster name
4. Choose sites for rosters if there are more than one site
5. Click on the cog in the top right corner of the screen. Select Print
6. Check or uncheck the options you want or do not want on the exported roster. Click Print to continue.
7. Select the page orientation and click Submit
8. The print page popup will appear.
9. Select the option listed Save as PDF
10. Click Save to save the roster to PDF
Printing a roster
1. Follow the PDF steps 1 - 8 listed above.
2. Select the correct printer and click print
