What are user place holder rates

User place holder rates allow you to override the multiplier or hourly rate for a payroll category in the award at the user level. This allows complete flexibility in managing above award rates for only specific times of the day while allowing the user to be on the award base rate and apply award penalties or overtime for other times of the day.

Why would this feature be used

This feature would be used if a user is on varying pay rates throughout different times of the day.

When would this feature be used

This feature could be used at any time, although you would primarily use this feature when adding a user to a pay group, updating a user's pay group, and so on.
