START HERE - initial configuration of Easy Employer to display entitlement balances
1) What are leave entitlements
Leave entitlements are owed to full and part time employees as part of their employment agreement. Various types of leave exist therefore all types of leave do not apply to every industry.
2) Why is this important
Types of leave will need to be managed within every organisation. Easy Employer can assist users to better manage and track leave entitlements.
3) Entitlement report
- Click Reports.
- Click Entitlement report.
The entitlement report will be displayed showing all user you have access to:
4) User leave page
Users can view their entitlement balances through the leave page
- Click Leave on My Easy Employer navigation bar.
- Entitlement balances are displayed under My entitlements.
5) Creating a leave request as a user
Users will be shown their entitlement balance at the bottom of the leave screen or when they create a leave request.
- Click Leave on My Easy Employer navigation bar.
Click Create leave request for me.
The New leave request dialogue will be displayed and the entitlement balances will be shown:
6) Creating a leave request as a manager for a user
Managers will be shown users entitlement balances when creating a leave request for a user.
- Click Leave on the navigation bar.
- Select Manage leave.
- Click Create leave request for a specific user.
- Select the user.
The New leave request dialogue will be displayed and the entitlement balances will be shown:
7) Approve/decline a leave request for a user
Managers will be shown users entitlement balances when approving a leave request for a user.
- Click the leave request for the user.
- The View leave request dialogue will be displayed. Approve or Decline the request.
- Once approved/declined, select the Communication method and click Submit.
8) Payroll report
The payroll report now shows entitlement balances.
- Click Reports on the navigation bar.
- Click Payroll report.
- Select the period, the payroll entity and click Launch report.
- The payroll report will be displayed.
- Any users that have taken leave during the period will display the following:
- If the user does not have suitable leave accrued, you can limit paid leave by clicking .
- Click here to restrict paid leave.
- The system will adjust the paid leave shift to match the users available entitlement accrual.
- The system will create unpaid leave for the rest of the request.
- To view the users entitlement balance.
- Click View entitlement balances to view this user's entitlement balance. The entitlement dialogue is displayed:
