Allowances

According to the fair work Australia website an allowance is "additional payment made to employees for doing certain tasks, working in certain locations, using a special skill or for expenses incurred for doing their job". An additional way of thinking about allowances is as elements of wages that are in addition to normal wages.

Examples of these are (list not exhaustive):

1. Split shift
2. Night shift if a shift ends after midnight
3. A medication allowance if a user works a specific role
4. Sleepover allowance.

Allowances are currently set behind the scenes and require configuration by the HRMWEB award team
