Payroll change reminder

When would you use this feature

You would use this feature when employees pay or employment length will have an impact on their details (such as pay rate, entitlements, and so on).

Why would you use this feature

You would use this feature to set notifications of an employee's anniversary. You may want notifications of anniversaries for reasons such as to increase pay according to age or employment length. 

How to set the payroll reminders based on age or users anniversary

To set payroll change reminders:

1. Click Organisation tab

2. Under that click Organisation to manage organisation

3. Click Rules

4. Expand Payroll rules

  • Display payroll change reminders for users up to this age - displays a to do item when a user has a birthday up to this age
  • Show payroll change reminders for users with anniversaries over this age - displays a to do item when a user has an anniversary (based on the employee start date) over this age.

5. Adjust either value if required by clicking the edit icon under Actions.

 

The payroll change to do items

The following are examples of payroll change to do items:

Birthday

When a user has an upcoming birthday up to the age set in Payroll rules, a to do item will show:

  • Click on Edit pay to adjust the users pay rate
  • Click on Ignore to ignore the to do item

Anniversary

When a user has an upcoming anniversary over the age set in Payroll rules, a to do item will show:

  • Click on Edit pay to adjust the users pay rate
  • Click on Ignore to ignore the to do item

Ability added or renewed

When a pay linked ability is added or renewed for a user, a to do item will show:

  • Click on Edit pay to adjust the users pay rate
  • Click on Ignore to ignore the to do item
