Using the time clock (dashboard)

What is the time clock

The time clock is used in easyemployer is used to track employee start times, finish times and breaks. 

Why is this important

Employers require clocking data to be recorded to ensure employees are paid correctly. Therefore it is important to know how to use a time clock correctly.

Note: Once the time clock has been created and the unique URL has been created, the time clock can now be used. See Creating a time clock for instructions.

The time clock dashboard

1. The time clock dashboard displays who is rostered on to work, currently clocked on and currently on a break.

2. The Time Clock is divided into three sections, Rosters, Clocked on and On break as shown in the following picture:

Starting a shift

1. To start a shift, click on your name as shown in the following picture:

2. The user will then enter there pin which they set as explained in the following guide: Setting your pin

OR the user will then scan their fingerprint (only available after their fingerprint has been enrolled in the system: Enrolling a user's fingerprint guide

3. Click Start shift to start your shift

Taking a break

1. Click on your name

2. Enter your pin or scan your fingerprint

3. Click on Start break

Ending a break

1. Click on your name

2. Enter your pin or scan your fingerprint

3. Click on End break

Ending a shift

1. Click on your name

2. Enter your pin or scan your fingerprint

Note: After you make your selection, always click log out to exit your account.
