Ensure the time clock URL is configured appropriately

Pin code clocking

Confirm the time clock URL settings allow pin code clocking. In Easy Employer, open the time clock settings for the relevant URL and ensure Allow pin logins is enabled.

User appears on the time clock but cannot authenticate with a pin code

Each user profile includes a control that permits pin code clocking. Open the user’s profile, go to Clocking, and ensure pin code authentication is enabled for that user.

User does not appear on the time clock

If a user is missing from a time clock, ensure the user’s role is permitted for the specific time clock URL. Update the time clock URL configuration to include the role the user will clock into.

Time clock time is misaligned

The app-based time clock records interaction times based on the device’s local system time. If the device time is incorrect (for example, not synchronised with an NTP service), recorded times can be misaligned.

  • Restrict the local user from changing the system time using local group policy where appropriate.
  • Use a third-party NTP synchronisation tool for more frequent time updates, especially in regions with daylight saving time changes.
