Passwords | Change & Reset

This article explains the purpose of passwords, complexity requirements, how to change your password, and how to reset a forgotten password in Easy Employer (EE).

Contents

1) Purpose and importance of a password

A password increases the security of a user’s account. Best practice is to use passwords containing a combination of upper- and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Since sensitive information can be stored in EE, it is strongly recommended to use a secure password.

NOTE: The Easy Employer Support Team cannot reset your password for you.

2) Password complexity requirements

Passwords in EE must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long.
  • Cannot be common dictionary words or easily guessed.
  • Cannot be keyboard sequences or repeated words (e.g., qwerty, 1234).
  • Must be of average strength or better. The system will calculate strength as you type.

To create a stronger password, use a combination of:

  • Upper and lower case letters
  • Non-dictionary words
  • Special characters and numbers
  • Sequences of unrelated words
  • A longer overall password

3) How to change your password

  1. Click your **Initials** in the upper right-hand corner and select Profile.
    Access Profile from initials
  2. Click Password on the left-hand side.
    Access password settings
  3. Enter your **current password**, **new password**, and re-enter the new password to confirm.

i) I have not received the forgotten password email

  1. Request a password reset by clicking here (also available on the EE login page).
  2. If you still do not receive it:
    • Confirm the email entered matches your signup email exactly.
    • Check your spam folder and add @easyemployer.net to your safe sender list (check provider-specific instructions online).
  3. Ask your manager to reset your online access so you can sign up again.

NOTE:

  • The Easy Employer Support Team cannot grant, resend, or reset online access; only your manager or employer can.
  • The Easy Employer Support Team cannot reset your password directly.

Some email clients (e.g., Microsoft Outlook) block images/links by default. Allow content by clicking 'allow download of content' near the top of the email.
