1) Overview
This setting is used to select the clocking method that is going to be enabled by default for every new user (employee) added to the system.
Set up the clocking option that is expected to be the most commonly used method for all employees. For example, if it is expected that all employees in the Organisation should be clocking in using a PIN code in a Time Clock device, set this one up as the default clocking method.
Keep in mind, you can have as many default clocking options enabled as it's applicable to your Organisation's circumstances, and that these settings can be overridden for individual users as required.
2) Set up default clocking method (Organisation level)
- Click Organisation.
- Click Settings.
- Click Settings on the sidebar.
- Click on the Default settings section to expand it.
Clocking options are displayed under the Clocking category. - Click edit on the clocking option you'd like to enable / disable.
- Check / uncheck the option as applicable (checked = Yes, unchecked = No).
- Click save.
3) Change the clocking method at the user level
The default clocking method can be overridden for individual users as required by following these steps:
- Click Organisation.
- Click Users.
- Select the user (for this example "Thomas Anderson" has been selected).
- Click Clocking on the sidebar.
- Click edit on the clocking option you'd like to enable / disable.
- Check / uncheck the option as applicable (checked = Yes, unchecked = No).
- Click save.
