Easy Employer Browser-Based Time Clock – PIN Number | System Requirements & Supported Devices

Overview

This article lists all supported devices, operating systems, browsers, and hardware requirements for the Easy Employer browser-based time clock using PIN Number authentication. Please review before installation or troubleshooting.

Important: The Easy Employer web-based time clock must be run on devices that meet or exceed the requirements below. Devices or operating systems that do not meet these requirements—or are no longer supported by their vendor—are not supported.

Supported Devices & Operating Systems

  • Windows 10 or 11: Must be up-to-date and supported by Microsoft.
  • macOS: Current version and previous two versions, still supported by Apple.
  • Chrome OS: Must be up-to-date and not past Auto Update Expiry (AUE) date.

Note: If your operating system is no longer supported by the vendor (not receiving security updates), it is not supported for use with the web-based time clock.

The All In One Unit is a managed solution and is only available as a pre-configured device from Easy Employer.
Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS devices must be currently supported by their vendor (receiving updates and security patches).


Supported Browsers

  • Google Chrome (required for Chrome OS)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium version)
  • Apple Safari (macOS only)

Note: Always use the latest version of your browser for security and performance. Internet Explorer is not supported.


Minimum Hardware Specifications

  • Processor (CPU): Dual-core 2.0 GHz (Intel, AMD, or Apple Silicon), released in the past 6–7 years
  • Memory (RAM): 8 GB or higher (4 GB is the absolute minimum, but not recommended for kiosk/shared use)
  • Storage: 10 GB of free disk space
  • Display: 1280 x 800 pixels minimum (10” or larger touchscreen recommended for shared/kiosk use)
  • Network: Reliable broadband internet (10 Mbps download, 2 Mbps upload minimum)

Tip: Higher specs (e.g., 16 GB RAM, quad-core CPU, SSD) deliver better performance, especially in busy or shared environments.


Other Important Requirements

  • Internet Connection: Stable and persistent, for real-time operation.
  • Local User Profile: On Windows, use a local profile (not roaming).
  • Accurate System Time: Device time must be correct and synced, as time clock records use this.
  • Browser Extensions/Add-Ons: Avoid those that block cookies, clear data automatically, or block scripts.
  • Antivirus/Firewall: Ensure these do not block the time clock web page.

Unsupported or Outdated Devices

Devices NOT supported:

  • Devices running unsupported operating systems (not receiving updates/patches from vendor)
  • iOS or Android devices
  • Devices that don’t meet the minimum hardware specifications
