Overview & Support Policy
This article explains why unsupported or outdated devices are not suitable for use with the Easy Employer browser-based time clock, and provides basic troubleshooting steps (where possible). Always use a supported device for best results.
Important: The Easy Employer time clock is not supported on iOS or Android devices, or on any device that is no longer supported by the operating system vendor or manufacturer (not receiving security updates). Using unsupported devices can cause issues and security risks.
Tip: For the most reliable experience, consider the Easy Employer All-In-One Kiosk—a fully supported, pre-configured time clock device.

Troubleshooting Steps
Note: Troubleshooting on unsupported devices is not guaranteed to work. For best results, use a supported device.
-
Update Device and Applications:
- Update your device’s operating system to the latest version available for your hardware.
- Update browsers and any required applications to their newest supported version.
-
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:
- Clear browser cache and cookies. Select “All time” or “From the beginning of time”.
- Close and re-open the browser.
Note: Clearing cookies may log you out of Easy Employer and other sites.
-
Reset the Time Clock Lock:
- Log in to the Easy Employer website.
- Go to the Time Clocks section and reset the “lock” for the affected time clock.
- Clear browser cache and cookies again.
- Try opening the time clock link again.
Tip: If you see ‘Please enter password and the key for this time clock is no longer valid’, cookies were likely deleted or blocked.
-
Create a New Time Clock Link:
- Log in to Easy Employer.
- Create a new time clock link for your location.
- Use this new link to set up the time clock.
Note: Time clock URLs cannot be reused on another device without resetting.
-
Try a Different Browser:
- Install a different supported browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
- Repeat previous steps in the new browser.
Additional Troubleshooting Tips
- Restart your device after completing troubleshooting steps
- Disable browser extensions/add-ons that may interfere (especially privacy or security extensions)
- Check device storage and free up space if needed
- Ensure antivirus/firewall settings do not block the time clock site
- Make sure the system time is accurate
Support Policy & Next Steps
Unsupported Devices: Easy Employer does not support troubleshooting, technical assistance, or remote support for time clocks running on unsupported or out-of-date devices, including iOS or Android, or computers not receiving operating system updates.
Next Steps: If you have completed all troubleshooting steps and still experience issues, you must migrate your time clock to a fully supported and up-to-date device for reliable operation.
For migration or technical support on supported devices, contact your organisation’s IT team or technology provider.
