Availability | User Availability
1) Overview
In the roster view, an icon indicates whether or not an individual has confirmed their availability for the open roster period. Users of the system are reminded to confirm their availability each week in their 'to do list'.
This feature helps managers during the rostering process by giving them certainty the rostered employees are available for the selected shifts.
2) The roster's confirmed availability feature
i) Confirm availability
- Open the roster.
- Under the users name, you will now see the Confirmed Availability icon.
- In the above example:
- Thomas Anderson has confirmed his availability for the week
- Jake Barrell has not confirmed his availability for the week.
ii) Request users to confirm their availability
- Click on the Confirmed Availability icon.
- Select Send a notification to this user to confirm their availability and click Submit.
- Select the notification method.
- Click Submit.
- The user will receive a notification via the chosen method reminding them to update their availability for the week.
iii) Marke users unavailable
- Click the Confirmed Availability icon.
- Select Mark this user as completely unavailable for this week and click Submit.
- The availability for the user for that week will be completely unavailable
iv) Marke users available
- Click on the Confirmed Availability icon.
- Select the toggle next to Mark this user as completely available for this week and click Submit.
- The availability for the user for that week will be completely available
v) Confirm availability on behalf of a user
- Click on the Confirmed Availability icon.
- Select Confirm this period using the users previously set availability and click Submit.
- The availability for the user for that week will be confirmed using the users previously set availability.
