1) Enrol users' fingerprints
- Log in as a user with the permissions to enrol a user for the site(s) configured for the timeclock.
- Click/tap Administration.
- Click/tap Enrol User.
- Click/tap the name of the user you wish to enrol.
- With the user highlighted, click/tap Select User.
- Have the staff member scan their finger 4 times as instructed on the screen.
- Successful scans will render the image temporarily.
This is to show feedback to the enrolling user they are scanning correctly. - After 4x successful fingerprint scans, the fingerprint has now been enrolled.
2) Re-enrol users' fingerprints
- Log in as a user with the permissions to enrol a user for the site(s) configured for the timeclock.
- Click/tap Administration.
- Click/tap Enrol User.
- Un-check the box next to Only show users with no fingerprint enrolled.
All eligible users for fingerprint enrolment/re-enrolment will now be displayed in the list. - Click/tap the name of the user you wish to enrol.
- With the user highlighted, click/tap Select User.
- Have the staff member scan their finger 4 times as instructed on the screen.
- Successful scans will render the image temporarily.
This is to show feedback to the enrolling user they are scanning correctly. - After 4x successful fingerprint scans, the fingerprint has now been re-enrolled.
3) Correct fingerprint scanning technique
Easy Employer fingerprint scanners require whole fingerprint scans for authentication. This is vastly different to biometric sensors of modern smartphones which only need partial scans to authenticate. Please bear this in mind when enrolling/re-enrolling/using EE biometric scanners.
