1) Overview

Organisation Settings are baseline system configurations that determine Easy Employer's default behaviour based on the preferences and needs of the organisation, and apply to all users across the account.

Some of these configurations can be overridden as required at different levels (e.g., Site, Role, User).


2) Access Organisation Settings

  1. Click Organisation.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. The Manage organisation page displays the different configuration options on the sidebar.


3) Settings Summary

- Details

Configure basic Organisation details such as name, ABN, phone number, street and postal addresses, main contacts, etc.


- Settings

Business hours:

- Define the start and end time for each day.
- If there are multiple sites per organisation, use the longest opening hours.

Default settings:

- Set the default time collection information for clocking, geocoding and time zone.

Appointment settings:

- Set shift extension thresholds, gender suitability and automatic linking of recurring appointments.

Roster settings:

- Set up the recurring roster length and start date of the period.
- Select the shift assignment information columns to be displayed in the roster.

Timesheet settings:

- Set up the recurring timesheet length and start date of the period.

Timesheet finalisation email:

- Check the managers that will receive the notification email.

Leave settings:

- Set which role by default user's leave shifts will be generated against.
- Different settings exist for this including a user's home role, a specific role or the most common role.

Action own requests:

- Select the managers that do not require additional approval and can approve their own leave / availability.
- Tick the manager's name(s) from the list and click Submit to save the changes.


- Default definition of commonly used terms.


- Setup identification numbers for employees to be used when integrating with external applications (e.g. payroll application).


- Public Holidays

Set the public holidays observed for all states where sites are used in this organisation (states are set against each site).

- Rules

Basic set of instructions at different configuration levels (for more information on rules levels click here), that determine the behaviours that govern the default operation of Easy Employer in the following areas:

General rules:

- General shift rules; minimum days off; maximum days worked; notices; leave; etc.
- Click Edit under the Actions column for each rule to set the default values for all employees.

Roster rules:

- Availabilities; hour rules; leave shifts; open shifts; shift covers, swaps, and reminders; budgets; etc.

- Shift warnings; pay shift rounding, limiting and matching; automatic shift creation; etc.

Control the warnings the system displays and where they are displayed (Roster, Timesheet, Payroll, API).


- Billing

SMS Quota; billing type and approach.


- Logo

Upload the organisation’s logo to be displayed on Easy Employer's home page.


- Communication

Roster SMS and Email customisation.
