Roster | Create a New Roster


 

1) Overview

The roster template allows you to define your business roster requirements for a week or fortnight (depending on your roster period). It is designed to help users of Easy Employer save time when rostering common shifts.

The Roster Template can be used to create your roster every week / fortnight. You can create as many templates as you like and for different durations.

 

2) Create a Roster Template

There are three options available to create a roster template:

  • From scratch (blank).
  • From an existing template.
  • From an existing roster.

 

i) From scratch (blank)

  1. Click Scheduling.
  2. Click Roster templates.

  3. Click Create roster template.

  4. Select the Duration using the drop down list to select the number of days you would like the template for (e.g., 14 days for a fortnightly template).

  5. Give the template a name.

  6. In the Create from section, select Blank.

  7. Click Create.
  8. You can now add/modify shifts to your roster template.

 

ii) From an existing template

Repeat the first five steps as described above, then:

  1. In the Create from section, select Existing template.

  2. Select the template you want to use from the drop down menu.

  3. Click Create.
  4. You can now add/modify shifts to your roster template.

 

iii) From an existing roster

Repeat the first five steps as described above, then:

  1. In the Create from section, select Existing roster.

  2. Select the roster period you want to use from the drop down menu.

  3. Click Create.
  4. You can now add/modify shifts to your roster template.

 

3) Edit a Roster Template

  1. Click Scheduling.
  2. Click Roster templates.

  3. Select the roster template you would like to edit (click the name of the template).

  4. Make any necessary changes to your roster template.

 

4) Rename/delete a Roster Template

  1. Click Scheduling.
  2. Click Roster templates.

  3. Under the Actions column, select rename or delete for a particular template.

  4. Follow the prompts for each action.
