Overview
Shift reminders are roster rules that notify users about upcoming shifts. Reminders can be configured at organisation level or individually per user.
Notifications can be sent via email, SMS, or both, depending on the selected settings. Reminders can include only the user’s own shifts or also include shifts of other users they will be working with.
Set shift reminders at organisation level
Organisation level settings apply to all users unless overridden at user level.
Reminder timing options
You can choose when reminders are sent relative to the shift start time:
- 1 hour before the shift
- A few hours before, which is 3 hours before the shift
- At the start of the business day
- 1 day before the shift
- A few days before, which is 3 days before the shift
- A week before the shift
Reminder delivery method
You can control how reminders are sent:
- Selected methods, which uses the communication method set in the user profile
- Email only
- SMS only
- Email and SMS
Set shift reminders at user level
User level settings allow individual users to have different shift reminder rules from the organisation default.
