Employee Guide | Export Leave to Calendar

1) Overview

Electronic calendars are available from different providers and it is simply an electronic version of a calendar. Usually, software of this kind also provides extra functionality such as an appointment book or a contacts list.

Leave can be exported from Easy Employer to any electronic calendar. Depending on your organisation's settings, this feature may or may not be accessible to all users. If you require further assistance, contact the Easy Employer system administrator of your organisation.

Once subscribed to the leave system, your calendar application will pull updated information. Therefore this process only needs to be done once, not each time leave requests are submitted/updated. Great for displaying leave requests in a yearly view that most calendar applications show. Examples of electronic calendars are Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, and these applications are usually available for both computers and portable devices.

Once linked the calendar changes will be updated automatically when your calendar syncs.

NOTE:

Refresh interval: It is the responsibility of the calendar application to pull new data from Easy Employer. In some calendar applications you can control the interval it updates, or you can perform a refresh or send and receive to pull new data to your calendar from Easy Employer.

Display: Easy Employer cannot control how the entries are displayed in the application.
