1) Overview
Timesheet shifts can be created using the automatically generate shifts function on the timesheet.
This is useful if you need to populate the timesheet in advance or if you need to process payroll in advance (an example of this is Christmas holidays).
2) Generate timesheet shifts for a whole timesheet period
- Click Timesheets.
- Select Timesheets.
- Select the timesheet you wish to open.
- Click the Generate shifts button located at the top of the timesheet in the actions bar.
- Select how you would like to generate the shifts.
- Click Submit.
NOTE: If you have the timesheet rule on Show warning for automatically created shifts this will generate warnings on the timesheet. These can be ignored by using the Hide warnings buttons located on each row, column or week.
3) Generate timesheet shifts for specific groups
- Open the timesheet for the site(s) you would like to generate the shifts for.
- Scope down further to areas and roles if required by pressing the Choose Groups button.
- Select group(s).
- Click the Generate shifts button located at the top of the timesheet in the actions bar.
- Select how you would like to generate the shifts.
- Click Submit.
NOTE: If you have the timesheet rule on 'Show warning for automatically created shifts' this will generate warnings on the timesheet. These can be easily ignored by using the Hide warnings buttons located on each row, column or week.
3) Generate timesheet shifts for a single user or a whole day
- Open the timesheets for the site(s) you would like to generate the shifts for.
- There is an Automatically generate shifts button (stopwatch icon) located on each day, employee or week.
- Click Generate shifts.
- Select how you would like to generate the shifts and click Submit.
