1) GPS Functionality

The GPS Functionality is a feature within Easy Employer (EE), ensures that an employee's location is recorded when they clock on and off of their shift using EE's mobile application.

This feature is greatly beneficial to organisations that have employees who are always 'on the go' or work at an off site location as it can assist managers to check their clocking location.

NOTE: Please note the GPS functionality is a module that may not be included in your organisation's EE account. Please contact us if you would like to have this feature.

2) Download the Easy Employer mobile application

3) Enable GPS on mobile devices

i) Apple | iOS Devices

For GPS tracking to work on iOS devices - users with the mobile application will need to enable GPS on their mobile device.

On your Apple device, go to Settings.
Find the EE application (named easyemployer).
Select Location and select While using the App.

ii) Android Devices

For GPS tracking to work, Android devices will need to enable their GPS functionality.

Please note when downloading the EE application on your Android device, you must accept the permissions which allows GPS and location tracking.

On your Android device, go to Settings.
Find and select Privacy and safety or Location settings.
Select Location
Turn on Location settings.

NOTE: These may vary depending on the version and operating system on your mobile device.

4) GPS functionality on Timesheets

i) Check the clocked GPS location of an employee

To check the clocked GPS location of an employee:
Click Timesheets.
Open a timesheet period.
Click on a timesheet entry.
Click on the view location data button.
Clocked locations dialogue will open which will indicate the the GPS location of the clocked shifts.

Key: Green = Clocked on shift | Red = Clocked off shift.
