This article explains how the GPS functionality works in Easy Employer, including how to enable it on mobile devices and how to view clocked locations in timesheets.

GPS Functionality

The GPS functionality in Easy Employer (EE) captures the employee's location when clocking on/off using the EE mobile app. This is useful for mobile or off-site workforces.

NOTE: GPS functionality is an optional module. Contact support to enable it for your organisation.

Use the links below to download the EE app:

Enable GPS on mobile devices

Apple | iOS Devices

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find easyemployer in the app list.
  3. Tap Location and choose While using the App.

Android Devices

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and safety or Location.
  3. Tap Location and enable it.
NOTE: GPS settings and permissions may vary by device and OS version.

GPS functionality on Timesheets

Check the clocked GPS location of an employee

  1. Click Timesheets.
  2. Open a timesheet period.
  3. Click on a timesheet entry.
  4. Click the View location data button.
  5. The map will display clocked locations:
    Green = Clocked on | Red = Clocked off
