Setting Up Your Custom Server URL and Logging In with SSO on the New Easy Employer Mobile App

Category: Mobile App Applies to: iOS and Android

Overview

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to log in to the EE web app (e.g. with Microsoft), you'll need to set up your organization's custom server URL in the mobile app before you can sign in with SSO. This guide walks you through both steps.

Step 1: Set Up Your Custom Server Environment

  1. Open the EE mobile app.
  2. On the login screen, tap Custom.

  3. Enter your organization's server URL. This is your organization's subdomain followed by .easyemployer.com.

    • Make sure to include https:// at the start of the URL.
    • Example format: https://[yoursubdomain].easyemployer.com

⚠️ Tip: Double-check there's no trailing slash ( / ) at the end of the URL — this can cause the app to fail to connect.

  4. Tap Apply.

Once applied, the app will refresh and take you to an updated sign-in screen.

Step 2: Log In Using SSO

  1. On the new sign-in screen, you'll notice the username and password fields have been replaced with a secure sign-in option (e.g. Sign in with Microsoft), matching whatever SSO provider your organization uses on the web app.

  2. Tap the Sign in button. You'll be redirected to your organization's login provider (e.g. Microsoft).
  3. Enter your work email and password as you normally would.
  4. If prompted, approve the sign-in request through your authenticator app.

  5. When asked to Stay signed in?, tap Yes if you don't want to log in again next time.

You should now be logged in to the EE mobile app using the same SSO credentials as the web app.

Troubleshooting

  • App won't connect after entering the custom URL: Make sure https:// is included and there's no trailing slash at the end of the URL.
  • Still seeing the old username/password screen: Try closing and reopening the app, or logging out and logging back in.
  • Sign-in seems stuck: Check your internet connection and try again.
