New Mobile App | 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup & Login

Category: Mobile App Applies to: iOS and Android

Overview

If your organization has Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enforced, you'll need an authenticator app to generate a login token, in addition to your email and password. This guide covers setting up 2FA on the web app first, then signing in on mobile.

Step 1: Set Up 2FA on the Web App (First-Time Login)

  1. Log in to the Easy Employer web app with your email and password as usual.
  2. Since your organization has 2FA enforced, you'll be shown a QR code to set it up.
  3. Open your authenticator app, tap the + (add account) button, and scan the QR code.
  4. You'll see a confirmation message that two-factor authentication has been enabled for your account.

Step 2: Log In With Your Token (Web)

  1. Log in again with your email and password.
  2. You'll be asked for your authentication token. Open your authenticator app and enter the code it generates for your account.
  3. Optional: choose to stay signed in for 30 days so you won't need to enter a token every time. Skip this if you'd rather generate a fresh token at each login.
  4. Click Login.

Step 3: Log In on the New Mobile App

⚠️ Important: The mobile app does not show a QR code on first sign-in. You must complete Steps 1 and 2 on the web app first to enable 2FA before logging in on mobile.

  1. Open the New Easy Employer mobile app and enter your email and password.
  2. Enter the token generated by your authenticator app.
  3. Tap Verify and Continue.

Your account data will then sync automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • Not asked to scan a QR code: The QR code setup only appears the first time you log in after 2FA is enforced on your account.
  • Mobile app won't let you sign in: Set up 2FA on the web app first (Steps 1–2) — the mobile app requires 2FA to already be enabled.
  • Lost access to your authenticator app: Contact your organization admin or support so 2FA can be reset for your account.
